    The Greener Codorus Initiative focuses on preserving the vegetation along the banks of Codorus Creek in York City. This is done in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding with the Army Corps of Engineers, which prevents the Army Corps from using herbicides in this area.

About the event

The purpose of the Watershed Week is to increase public awareness about the importance of local watersheds to community health, sustainable economies, and environmental quality of the Chesapeake Bay. Participants can get to know their watershed and the folks and organizations who are working hard to enhance, restore, and protect them.
